Pupil Premium
The pupil premium is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement.
All schools are required to report on the amount of funding received and how this is being used.
All of our children who are entitled to the Pupil Premium grant have an individual funding plan which details the tailored strategies used to develop both academically, creatively, emotionally, socially, and physically.
Why is it important to claim your Free School Meals?
The additional Pupil Premium funding for children on free school meals is increasing. It will help to support the learning and achievement of your child. Please apply for free school meals if you are eligible.
Parents/guardians must be in receipt of one of the following benefits;
• Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit) and have an annual income (as assessed by HM Revenue & Customs) that does not exceed £16,190
• Income Support
• Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
• The Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
Please note:
Where a parent is entitled to Working Tax Credit in the 4 week period immediately after their employment stops, or after they start to work less than 16 hours per week, their children are entitled to free school meals for this period.
